| 한글내용요약 | ‘NEW BGP’ 스피커는 4-옥텟 AS 번호를 지원함을 이웃들에게 알리기 위해서 BGP CA(Capabilities Advertisement)를 사용한다. 본 문서는 ‘OLD BGP’ 스피커를 통해 4-옥텟 AS 번호가 포함된 AS 경로 정보를 보낼 수 있도록 선택적 전환(optional transitive) 속성인 AS4_PATH 속성을 정의한다. 이외에도 선택적 전환 AS4_AGGREGATOR 속성도 정의한다. ‘NEW BGP’ 스피커 간 상호동작과 ‘NEW BGP’ 스피커와 ‘OLD BGP’ 스피커 간 상호동작으로 구분해서 기술한다. ‘NEW BGP’ 스피커 간 상호 동작에서는 ‘NEW BGP’ 스피커가 BGP CA를 사용해서 통신 상대(peer)에게 광고하고 상대 통신 상대(Peer)로부터도 동일한 기능을 수신하면 AS_PATH 속성과 AS_AGGREGATOR 속성에 4-옥텟 AS 번호를 포함시켜서 보낸다. ‘NEW BGP’ 스피커와 ‘OLD BGP’ 스피커 간 상호 동작은 ‘NEW BGP’ 스피커가 2-옥텟 AS 번호를 갖고 있을 때만 가능하다. ‘NEW BGP’ 스피커가 ‘OLD BGP’ 스피커와 통신하는 경우 2-옥텟 AS 번호를 사용해야 하며 AS4_PATH 속성에 AS 경로 정보를 포함시킨다. | ||
| 영문내용요약 | A NEW BGP Speaker uses the BGP Capabilities Advertisement to advertise to its neighbors that it supports four-octet AS number extensions. To preserve the AS path information with four-octet AS numbers across OLD BGP speakers, this document defines the optional transitive AS4_PATH attribute. Also, the optional transitive AS4_AGGREGATOR attribute is defined. The operation is described for the cases of the interaction between NEW BGP speakers and the interaction between NEW and OLD BGP speakers. In the interaction between NEW BGP speakers, a NEW BGP speaker shall advertise its capability to its peers using BGP Capabilities Advertisements and, if it receives from that peer the advertisement of such a capability, it MUST encode four-octet AS numbers in the AS_PATH attribute and the AGGREGATOR attribute. In the interaction between NEW and OLD BGP speakers, peering between a NEW BGP speaker and an OLD BGP speaker is possible only if the NEW BGP speaker has a two-octet AS number. When communicating with an OLD BGP speaker, a NEW BGP speaker MUST use two-octet AS numbers and include the AS path information in the AS4_PATH attribute. | ||
