| 한글내용요약 | 이 표준은 5G RAN(Radio Access Network)에서의 개방형 프론트홀 인터페이스에 대해 정의한다. 상위(Higher)/하위(Lower) 계층 기능 분리(Layer Function Split) 적용 시 CU(Central Unit)와 DU(Distributed Unit)간 인터페이스 요구사항 및 프론트홀 프로토콜을 이더넷 캡슐화(Ethernet Encapsulation)을 통해 전송하는데 필요한 헤더(Header) 형식과 패킷 캡슐화(Encapsulation)에 대해서 정의한다. | ||
| 영문내용요약 | The Standard includes both Higher Layer Split (work in progress, Work Item phase) and Lower Layer Split which is discussed in the 3GPP Study Item level. Considering the early 5G commercialization plans in Korea, the standard is to complete specification of the interface between gNB-CU and gNB-DU based on Lower Layer Split which is under discussion in 3GPP. | ||
