¿µ¹®³»¿ë¿ä¾à | This document describes SS7 MTP3-User Adaptation Layer(M3UA). M3UA defines a mechanism for supporting the transport of MTP3 user message over IP using Stream Control Transmission Protocol(SCTP). The 3GPP, MSF, ITU-T standardization unit that work on standardizing the next generation ALL-IP network have already selected M3UA protocol as the basic protocol for interworking with legacy SCN. This protocol may be used between a Signaling Gateway(SG) and a Media Gateway Controller(MGC), IP-based DB and between two IP-based application server. M3UA supports a seamless interworking between the SCN and IP network. So, MTP3 user part(ISUP, SCCP) can operate regardless of the lower transport network. The MGC, IP-based DB and IP-based application server provides the MTP3 user part over M3UA. As result, the SCN traffic shall be migrated to the IP-based packet traffic. | ||
