In addition, this standard describes FlexOsec encryption overhead and functions for providing encryption over the FlexO layer. The definition of a FlexO-x-RS interface group complements the existing B100G functions specified in G.709 with new functions such as physical interface bonding, forward error correction (FEC) coding, group management and OTUCn mapping/demapping.
