¿µ¹®³»¿ë¿ä¾à This study considers the interoperability between ebXML and Web Service framework that are two major general-purpose e-business frameworks. The standard covers three main areas of the interoperability; messaging interoperability, registry interoperability, and business process interoperability. The standard provides guidelines to make two frameworks interoperable as pattern style. That is, interoperation situations are classified as patterns, and the detail guidelines for the patterns are described with examples. In the case of messaging interoperability, first, we compare messaging exchange patterns of ebXML and Web Services messaging. In the case of e-business messaging, reliability and security are essential in message exchanges. The guidelines for reliable messaging interoperability, messaging error code handling, and secure messaging interoperability are described with detail examples. B2B registries are information systems to register B2B related business information such as companies' profiles, business documents, business processes, and services. The standard considers three levels of interoperability in B2B registries; data model level, registry service level, and framework level. The ebXML framework uses BPSS (Business Process Specification Schema) as business process representation schemes, and Web Services framework uses WSBPEL (Web Service - Business Process Execution Language) as the same purpose. There are three situations when business process interoperability is required; when business processes are managed by ebXML framework, when business processes are managed by Web Service framework, and when business processes are managed by both sides. In this standard, we focus on the first situation, that is, when business processes are managed by ebXML framework and the party who has Web Services framework only participants a business transaction in the business process. The detail interoperability guidelines on six different Business Transaction (BT) patterns of ebXML BPSS are described with examples. Also, it provide an integrated scenarios to provide integrated perspective of business process and messaging interoperability.
