본 표준은 NE, EM, NM에 적용되는 3G 장애 관리의 전반적인 요구사항을 규정한 것으로 IMT-2000 네트웍의 장애 검출/복구/예측에 대한 기준으로 사용할 수 있다 본 표준은 NE(Network Element, e.g.RNC), EM(Element Manager)과 NM(Network Manager)에 적용되어지는 3세대 장애 관리에 대한 전반적인 요구사항을 상술한다. 4절과 5절은 3G 시스템에서의 알람, 운영 상태 데이터, 테스트 결과의 생성, 수집, 표현에 대한, 그리고 장애 검출에 대한 장애 관리 개념과 기능 요구사항을 정의한다. 서로 다른 여러 판매업자들의 장비간에 이러한 기능들의 형식적인 표준이 필요하지는 않기 때문에 이러한 기능들은 비형식적으로 기술된다. 이 절들에서 다루어 지는 기능 영역은 다음과 같다. 1) NE에서의 장애 감시와 검출 2) 알람(알람 중지 포함)과 운영상의 상태 변화의 통보 3) NE로부터의 현재 알람의 검색 4) NE에서의 장애 격리와 방어 메커니즘 5) 알람 필터링 6) 알람 정도 레벨(severity level)의 관리 7) OS에서의 알람과 운영상의 상태 데이 |

| 영문내용요약 | The present document specifies the overall requirements for 3G Fault Management (FM) as it applies to the Network Elements (NE), Element Manger (EM) and Network Manager (NM).
Clause 4 defines the FM concept and functional requirements for the detection of faults and the generation, collection and presentation of alarms, operational state data and test results across 3G systems. These functions are described on a non-formal level since the formal standardisation of these functions across the different vendors' equipment is not required. The functional areas specified in the present document cover: ? fault surveillance and detection in the NEs; ? notification of alarms (including alarm cease) and operational state changes; ? retrieval of current alarms from the NEs; ? fault isolation and defence mechanisms in the NEs; ? alarm filtering; ? management of alarm severity levels; ? alarm and operational state data presentation and analysis at the Operations System (OS); ? retention o |
