This standard describes introduction to protection of personal health information, the technical requirements for securing personal health information, and considerations in implementing personal health information protection technology under the healthcare environments. The technological requirements chapter consists of four sections: 1) information collection, store, and management, 2) information disposal, 3) information exchange, and 4) hacking accident prevention and response. In addition, concept and introduce to personal health information, technical security requirements and the security considerations regarding briefly mentioned.
