본 표준은 H.323 네트워크에서 호 파크(SS-PARK) 및 호 대리응답(SS-PICKUP) 부가 서비스를 위한 절차와 신호 프로토콜을 정의한다. 호 파크는 파크를 수행하는 사용자가 기존의 호를 파킹 위치에 두는 부가 서비스이다. 이 호는 나중에 파크를 수행했던 터미널 또는 다른 터미널에 의해 대리응답 되어질 수 있다.
호 대리응답은 현재 alerting중인 호나 파크 되어있는 호를 대리응답할 수 있는 부가 서비스이다. 대리응답을 함으로써, 파크된 호에 연결된 사람과 통화할 수 있다. 호 파크 및 대리응답은 H.323의 터미널(endpoint)에 의해 제공되는 다양한 기본 서비스에 적용될 수 있다.
본 표준은 H.450.1에 정의된 바와 같이 “H.323에서의 부가 서비스를 지원하기 위한 일반적인 기능 프로토콜”을 사용한다.

This Recommendation describes the procedures and the signalling protocol for the Call Park and Call Pickup supplementary services in H.323. Call Park (SS-PARK) is a supplementary service that enables the Parking User A to place an existing call with user B (Parked User) to a Parking Position. The call can later be picked-up by
retrieving the parked party from the same terminal where the park took place or from another terminal. Call Pickup (SS-PICKUP) is a supplementary service that enables the Picking-up User to either pick
up a parked call or to pick up an alerting call. Upon successful invocation of SS-PICKUP, the Picking-up User is connected with the Parked User respectively with the calling User. This Recommendation makes use of the “Generic functional protocol for the support of
supplementary services in H.323” as defined in Recommendation H.450.1
