본 기술보고서는 2015 년 3 월 발간된 3GPP Release 12 기술규격을 대상으로 국내 TTA 회원사가 중점적으로 활동한 SA(Service & Systems Aspects)와 RAN(Radio Access Network)의 주요 핵심 기술들에 대해 설명하였다. 구체적으로는 Release 12 를 대표할 수 있는 기술인 직접통신(D2D, ProSe), 이중접속(Dual Connectivity), 스몰셀(Small Cell), 그룹통신(Group Communication), 3 다운링크 및 2 업링크 주파수 집성(Carrier Aggregation) 등이 포함되었다.

영문 내용요약

This Technical Report explained the 3GPP Release 12 technical specification which was published at Mar. 2015. It contained the core technology of Release 12, and describe the technologies progressed by TTA members in 3GPP SA(Service & Systems Aspects) and RAN(Radio Access Network). More specifically, D2D, ProSe, Dual Connectivity, Small Cell, Group Communication, 3 DL/2 UL Carrier Aggregation, and etc. are contained as major 3GPP Rel. 12 technologies.
