This standard identifies the requirements of bidirectional vehicle data transfer which is described in the TTAK.KO-06.0243. The scope of this standard is to define the requirements of a common software interface for a vehicle ITS station gateway to exchange vehicle’s data items among a nomadic/mobile device, vehicle ITS station gateway and the vehicle ECUs. This standard specifies all technical requirements related to the protocol to be used between the vehicle’s ITS station gateway and the mobile device used to retrieve data from the vehicle's electronic systems connected to the vehicle’s ITS station gateway. The requirements will reflect the driving needs from the use cased as specified in TTAK.KO-06.0243. The standardized access method specifies a vehicle data transfer protocol which is proposed to be implemented in a vehicle’s ITS station gateway.
