본 기술보고서에서는 Ka 광대역 주파수를 사용하기 위한 채널 적응형 위성방송 기술의 필요성을 제시하고 사용주파수에 따른 강우 감쇠 특성 분석결과를 제시한다. 또한 Ka 대역에서 전송 방식에 따른 서비스 가용도 분석결과와 강우 감쇠 극복을 위한 적적한 방안을 제시한다. 부록에서는 Ku/Ka 이중대역 수신방식과 VCM+SVC 전송 방식의 링크설계 결과를 제시한다. |

This technical report introduces the necessities of channel adaptive satellite broadcasting and the characteristics of rain attenuation for the Ka broadband frequency. And this report submits the analysis results of service availabilities according to transmission scheme and the proper methods for overcoming rain attenuation impairment for the Ka-band frequency.
In an appendix, this technical report shows link budget results of the Ku/Ka dual band tuner receiving scheme and the VCM + SVC transmission scheme
