자원 표현 SOAP 헤더 블록(RRSHB)은 SOAP 메시지 수신자가 외부에 존재한 자원의 로컬 캐시를 접근하게 한다. 통신 대역이나 파일 접근에 제약이 생기는 경우도 있기 때문에 이러한 기능은 매우 중요하다. 수신 측에서는 이것에 의하여 URI에 의한 식별된 파일이나 SOAP 통신으로 함께 보내오는 데이터에 대한 로컬 캐시 중 어느 한쪽을 선택하고 이용할 수 있게 된다. MTOM(메시지 전송 최적 메커니즘: Message Transmission Optimization Mechanism)과 함께 사용됨으로써, 수신 측이 수신 데이터의 처리를 시작한 시점에서 외부 데이터에 대한 로컬 캐시가 이미 존재하고 있으면, 처리 속도는 현격하게 향상된다.

영문 내용요약

the Resource Representation SOAP Header Block (RRSHB) functionality allows SOAP message recipients to access cached representations of external resources. This is important, as there may be times when there are either limits to bandwidth or access of files. It gives the recipient the option of using either the original file that may be identified by a URI, or to use a cached copy that accompanies the actual SOAP message. Used with MTOM, it enhance greatly the speed and of processing as the external data is already present when the recipient is starting processing the message.
