MSCs have been used for a long time by standardization organizations in their Recommendations and within industry, according to different conventions and under various names such as Signal Sequence Chart, Information Flow Diagram, Message Flow and Arrow Diagram.
Since in MSCs the communication behavior is presented in a very intuitive and transparent manner, particularly in the graphical representation, the MSC-language is easy to learn, use and interpret. |
