Mobile RFID Application Directory Service (ADS) takes a code from a Mobile RFID
terminal and outputs suitable list of applications to the terminal. For this purpose ADS generates URN form of the code, queries the URN to its own database or external service directory like ODS, and transforms the result into more concise form. Moreover, ADS queries the code to other directory services in order to process additional information which is not offered by ODS. Using HTTP protocol, the terminal inputs a code read from a RFID tag into ADS and takes a list of applications. The input is transferred using HTTP GET method after the read code being transformed into URL with the encoding protocol. ADS returns the list of applications as a xml document form. |
