This standard specifies the hardware functions and structure of an edge server. It defines the functions that must be supported by each hardware module, such as computing modules, storage modules, network switch modules, system connectivity and backplane, fan modules, power modules, and management modules that comprise an edge server system, and presents a structure centered on signals and interfaces for interconnecting the modules.
