This standard presents the explanations of memory centric computing, data centric computing, and the concept of memory interconnect. This standard identifies the problems of existing computing systems and presents the concepts and characteristics of memory centric computing to overcome them. This standard also introduces the role and function of the memory interconnects, which are key technologies of memory centric computing. In addition, the concept of rack computing, memory shareable computing, and resource disaggregation computing that can be expanded by applying memory centric computing are presented in the form of use cases. The user requirements of memory centric computing are extracted from the use cases.
