This standard describes the functionalities and APIs of DDS middleware that support efficient monitoring and remote-controlling of a DDS system.
The large-scale cyber-physical system (CPS) operates on the close association among DDS applications that are composed of DDS entities. A cyber-physical system has various types of topics, and the number of topics is in proportion to the size of the system. Intercommunication between the composing applications is conducted based on the topics. Therefore, to efficiently develop and maintain a reliable cyber-physical system, DDS middleware is needed that supports or implements APIs for monitoring and remote-controlling of a DDS system. |
