This standard introduces the background of the birth of the Maritime Resource Name(MRN), which is essential for e-Navigation research and development, and related references. Accordingly, it helps the understanding of the maritime resource identification number and defines the requirements for naming the Organizational Identifier(OID). In addition, the procedure for filling out the Organizational Identifier(OID) application form and implementation plan according to the requirements are presented.
