This standard specifies elements of metadata that satisfy the phased and functional requirements to manage and preserve web sites and web resources, which are main materials web archivists collect. Accordingly, this standard proposes a structure of web archiving metadata that is composed of four paragraphs and nine pieces of meta information.
① Descriptive Metadata (Descriptive Information) ② Structural Metadata (Structural Information) ③ Managerial Metadata (Right Information, Technology Information, Management Information) ④ Retainable Metadata (Authentication Information, Context Information, Source Information) Additionally, in total 29 metadata elements were extracted based on the structure of metadata and the principle of development, and also subdivided and specified sub-elements were selected in order to clarify their contents. |
