This Recommendation describes the network level requirements for the control
plane of automatically switched transport networks. Such a network provides a set of control functions for the purpose of setting up and releasing connections across a transport network. It is recognized that transport networks support multiple clients. As such, the automatic switched transport networks are intended to be client and technology independent. |
