To provide IoT/M2M services in 3GPP mobile communication systems, MSISDN, IMEI, IMSI are used as IoT/M2M identifier. If IoT/M2M devices are increasing rapidly, the number of MSISDN based on E.164 is limited and it has many problems.
The standard analyzes the problems and requirements of IoT/M2M identifiers and describes the alternatives of MSISDN identifiers for a large number of IoT/M2M devices. This standard consists of the contents as follows: - Types and characteristics of IoT/M2M identifiers in mobile communication system - Problems of IoT/M2M identifiers in mobile communication system - Requirements of IoT/M2M identifiers in mobile communication system - Alternatives of IoT/M2M identifiers to replace MSISDN - Requirements of IoT/M2M identifiers to replace MSISDN |
