This Recommendation describes the functional architecture for big data as a service (BDaaS). In detail, the framework of the BDaaS functional architecture and the relationship between the user view and the functional view are specified. In addition, based on the hierarchical structure defined in the cloud computing reference architecture, this standard defines ‘service layer functional components’, ‘resource layer functional components’, and ‘multi-layer functional components’ required for big data services.
